From €4,500 for two · Flights included · Private guide · Book by 20 December for the festive season
Honeymoons, anniversaries and romantic escapes: this Marrakech honeymoon package is for any couple who wants a private week in Morocco, from the riads of the medina to a night among the Sahara dunes.
8 days, 7 nights
This luxury Morocco honeymoon runs in one direction: first the city, then the mountains, then the Sahara, and back to Marrakech for a slow last day. This Marrakech and Sahara honeymoon is a private trip: just the two of you, with your own guide in the city and your own driver-guide on the road. There is no group to wait for, so you can stop for a photo, a mint tea or a view whenever you like. For the full picture of the dunes, read our Merzouga guide.
Day 1
Your private driver meets you at the airport and takes you to your riad. Settle in, then sit down to a welcome dinner on your first evening in Morocco.
Day 2
Walk the medina and the souks with your own guide, then visit the palaces and gardens of the city at your own pace. You stop where you like, and nobody else joins your group.
Day 3
Choose your guided day trip: the Atlas Mountains and the Ourika Valley for mountain air and village life, or Essaouira for the sea breeze and the old town on the coast. Tell us which one you prefer when you book.
Day 4
Cross the High Atlas by the Tizi n'Tichka pass and stop at Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, before you reach a charming kasbah hotel in the Dades Valley.
Day 5
Walk through the Todra Gorge, listen to Gnawa music in Khamlia, then ride a camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset. Tonight you sleep in a luxury desert camp, in a private en-suite tent. After dinner, step away from the camp lights and look up at the stars.
Day 6
Wake up for sunrise over the dunes and watch the sand change colour as the light rises. Then try sandboarding and take a 4×4 desert drive. After that, head west to a luxury kasbah in Ouarzazate or Skoura.
Day 7
Return over the Atlas to Marrakech. The afternoon is free: rest at your riad, go back to the souks or add a hammam, before your farewell dinner.
Day 8
Your private driver takes you to the airport for your flight home, with a week of memories and a lot of photos.
Driving times: by Rome2Rio estimates, the longest driving day is Merzouga to Ouarzazate, about 5 hours 45 minutes without stops, so no driving day is longer than about 7 hours with stops.

Yes. Expect mild, sunny days in Marrakech and cold nights in the desert, especially from December to February, so pack warm layers for the evenings. Clear winter days also suit photos of the Atlas Mountains and the dunes.

Yes, on quote. Agafay is a stone desert close to Marrakech, so a private night there is easy to add to your trip.
